Nicole V.T. Lugosi - PhD Candidate, Department of Political Science
Nicole V.T. Lugosi is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Political Science, specializing in Comparative Politics and International Relations. Her dissertation examines the success of populist radical right discourses in Hungary. Her other research interests include indigeneity, nationalism, Central Eastern Europe, especially Hungary, minority rights, democracy, and international security issues such as sex trafficking. Nicole is also a doctoral researcher with the EU Centre of Excellence at the University of Alberta and she has served as the Graduate Student Representative Executive Board Member for International Studies Association (ISA) – Canada (2013-2015).
